PPC stands for pay-per-click, a form of digital advertising in which your ads can show hundreds or even thousands of times but you only pay when someone clicks on them. 

Sometimes used interchangeably with SEM (search engine marketing), PPC includes many types of advertising such as paid search (Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo), paid social (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), display (banner ads), shopping (Google), video, and more; all of which can be managed by Interactually.

This form of advertising is an excellent way to reach potential patients where they are looking for you, such as Google, and where they spend the most time online, such as Facebook and Instagram. We can target by keyword, location, age and other demographic variables, interest, and much more. By crafting such highly-targeted campaigns, we minimize wasted ad spend and increase conversion rates and appointments.

Each ad platform has their own policies and regulations to help keep campaigns in line with HIPAA, but they don't always catch everything. We can help you navigate these questions.

For example, websites using Google Analytics cannot collect personally identifiable information (PII). Furthermore, any HIPAA-regulated entities cannot collect Protected Health Information (PHI). Limitations in tracking technologies mean we cannot run remarketing (also known as retargeting) campaigns, which are common in other industries.

That depends on many factors, the biggest of which is your budget. Our team is constantly analyzing and optimizing your campaigns around metrics such as cost per click (increasing campaign quality lowers costs, which allows for more clicks within your budget limit, which leads to more appointments) and conversion rate (the percentage of potential patients who click your ad vs. those who scheduled an appointment or called your office).

Great question! We make sure every campaign we manage is well-tracked and the results are easily accessible. We start every engagement by making sure you have Google Analytics installed and fully configured on your site. This might include using Google Tag Manager for additional tracking, such as recording clicks on certain buttons and links.

With tracking in place, we set up a customized reporting dashboard that you can check in on any time to see how your campaigns are performing.

Of course! We can easily set up individual campaigns for multi-location medical practices, each with their own ad budget and targeting. We can target people within a certain radius of each location, or use combinations of city and postal code to draw more specific maps.

We highly recommend dedicating one campaign to one location, so keep in mind that our Basic and Standard PPC packages have limits on the number of campaigns we run. Practices with more than 4 locations, for example, would qualify for our Enterprise package. See the details on our pricing packages.
